Blizzard has officially confirmed that Diablo 4 will have another open beta on all platforms next month. This news comes after a recent teaser that hinted at the possibility. The open beta, referred to as a “server slam,” will be available from Friday, May 12 to Sunday, May 14, and was announced during a developer livestream. Game director Joe Shely invited players to come and test their servers.

During the announcement, Blizzard also revealed that all of the changes made in the initial Diablo 4 beta will be present in the upcoming one. This gives players the opportunity to check out all of the new features before the game’s official release on June 6.
The new beta will be similar to previous weekends, allowing players to explore Fractured Peaks and play through the Prologue and Act 1. However, progress from previous beta weekends will not carry over to the new beta.
Blizzard has shared even more positive news, stating that the upcoming beta will provide another opportunity to obtain the rewards offered in previous Diablo 4 betas. One of the rewards is the cute baby wolfpack cosmetic, which can be earned by reaching level 20 in Sanctuary. Additionally, a new reward will be available in the form of the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy, themed around the world boss returning for the next beta.
The “secret announcement” teased by Diablo franchise boss Rod Fergusson earlier this week has been confirmed to be the May open beta. Therefore, if you were hoping for any other news during today’s livestream, you can stop watching unless you’re interested in the finer details of the beta changes.
