The new game includes a new feature called “Run the World” which takes you on a run through the streets of the worlds most beautiful and memorable cities including London and New York. This, amongst the variety of diverse workouts, is set to detailed backgrounds and beautiful music to sooth and stimulate your mind as you exercise.

Our spies say devs Avalanche are hard at work as we speak, and that it’s set for release next year

Just Cause 2 topped the UK charts when it was released back in March 2010, so it seems likely that the franchise will be revisited at some point, allowing players once again to jump into the parachuting, grappling, open-world-roaming shoes of agency operative Rico Rodriguez.

Time for the Xbox Live ‘Deal of the Week’. This week is all about the Dead Rising franchise, with three offers on spanning three games.

Dead Rising 2 : Case West is currently down from 800MSP to 400MSP.

Frank West and Chuck Greene fight side by side in this explosive addition to Dead Rising 2! Chuck Greene has lost the evidence that would have cleared his name. In his darkest hour Frank West appears and offers one last chance for Chuck to redeem himself. Together, the pair heads to a secret Zombrex research facility where they hope to uncover evidence that will exonerate Chuck, and shed some light on Phenotrans’ sinister plot. Case West re-introduces the ability to take pictures in-game. Two players can also play together as Chuck and Frank in the full-featured co-op mode!

And last but not least, Dead Rising 2 : Case Zero can be purchased for the bargain price of 200MSP instead of its usual 400MSP.

Get a taste of what Dead Rising 2 has to offer in this full-featured prologue! Chuck Greene and his daughter Katey have barely escaped the Las Vegas zombie outbreak with their lives. They arrive in the lonely desert town of Still Creek looking for some rest, but unfortunately there is no rest to be had as this sleepy town has become overrun with zombies. Chuck must kill zombies, rescue survivors and escape from the zombie nightmare that is Still Creek before time runs out. Any PP, clothing, and Combo Cards gained in CASE ZERO will carry over into your Dead Rising 2 game!

Anything for you guys here? I own both the XBLA titles, so this week I’ll recomend Case Zero because at 200MSP it’s a steal.

But, any devotees attending the first ever MineCon in November will have the opportunity to play the XBox version ahead of the rest of the world.

Original Minecraft developers Mojang have made it clear via their website that they are in close communication with the development team in charge of creating the port, 4J:

Minecraft for Xbox 360 is currently in heavy development and we are very happy with the progress. Daniel is working tightly with the 4J team to coordinate Notch’s design decisions. We want to keep the core experience of the original PC version intact, while ensuring the game fits its new platform.

Romily is quoted in saying:

“Two or three weeks from now the first patch will happen and that’s going to make big corrections to some of the things that are bothering people the most,”

“We’re going to be doing this constantly, with our thumbs in the middle of the community trying to get people to tell us what they think, and then we’ll be acting on it for the rest of the season.”

“That’s a commitment we’re definitely making. It would be nice if people came and talked to us about the things that are bothering them, because we are going to be listening.”

He explained that another thing they will be looking at will be the ability to control the goalkeeper while the A.I controls the outfield during online play, on this topic he said “People seem to be exploiting this, If they’re not very good at defending they can use this to get an unfair advantage.”

The update will be on it’s way to you in two or three weeks.

An upcoming application for Windows Phone devices called the “Xbox Companion” app will let you use the actual phone as a remote control-of sorts; you’ll be able to find content, learn more about what you are watching and control playback as easily as using your controller.

The Windows Blog team posted further examples of what you can do which read:

“Finding Content: Just like on your Xbox, the Xbox Companion gives you instant access to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace catalog of games, movies, music and TV shows. I used it to search “Featured Content” and pulled up the X-Men: First Class.

Learn more about what you’re watching, listening to, or playing: Once I found the movie and touched the movie tile, the Xbox companion app took me to an info page that has all the related details about. And the content is really rich, too – for example, when I swiped to the “cast” page and touched an actor’s name, like star James McAvoy, I was taken to other movies starring him. From there, I could easily learn more about the other movies, their cast, etc. It’s an infinite road of interactive content.

Control & Play: Once I selected the content and hit play, the Xbox Companion flips into “controller mode” in which I could navigate my Xbox, or control video playback of your video. The best part here is that controls are virtually instantaneous – easily as fast as using my controller or a TV remote.”

There is no current release date for the application.

Arkham City is out in stores in just two weeks; October 18.

Valve have been rather careful with GO making sure it’s not mistaken for Counter Strike 2 calling it “a multi-platform team based FPS similar to its predecessors, Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, and Counter-Strike: Source”.

According to the official Steam page:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) will expand upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 12 years ago. CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content.

New weapons will apparently include a decoy grenade which mimics the sound of machine gun fire and Molotov cocktails while new features will include improved match-making and leader boards.

CS:GO is currently pre-beta and has plans of launching the beta this fall with an appearance at both PAX Prime and EuroGamer Expo on the horizon. The games current expected release is early 2012.
