Alan Wake XBLA still has no official title as Night Springs has not yet been confirmed; however a German ratings board has added an “Alan Wake’s American Nightmare” to their listings, so we may be hearing about that in the near future. More will be revealed at tomorrow’s Spike TV awards.

I was chatting to BitBurner from Minecrap the other day and he mentioned he ‘saved himself’ for 1.0. So the last version he played wa 1.8.. I played a lot of the 1,9 releases and through doing these blogs I knew what all the updates were.. Imagine going straight from 1.8 to 1.0 though.. Must have been quite a shock?

Many gamers who played the previous game are running rampart on various forums online because the game will be on XBLA, the strong opinion seems to be the game will lose prospect however Remedy’s CEO, Markus Mäki, said:

If you’re thinking about this in terms of some kind of a, I don’t know, super simplified ‘we still use the name but changed everything about it’ version of Alan Wake, let me just say that this is not the case. That’s all I’m gonna say.

It looks as if we will indeed be revisiting the Sonic roots, as we race through the 2D landscapes once more – oh no, more water!

Four is a very powerful number in this particular installment as not only will you experience the gritty atmosphere of Kiryu Kazuma’s experiences, three other characters will also be available to play. Each of them with their own engaging backstory and a gripping interwoven plot.

One of the rumors for Gears of War 3 was that water would definitely be involved and that rumor is correct but they potentially got the scale wrong. According to the translation of Russian gaming mag, after the Locust’s Hollow was flooded at the end of Gears of War 2, 18 months have passed and humanity has scattered into tribes fighting for survival. No more civilization, no more government, no more military. Marcus Fenix, Dom, and the others from their crew are living on the aircraft carrier ‘Ravens Nest’ and sailing through the seas while trying to fight off others to protect what precious little they need to survive.

Gears of War 3 is scheduled to be released April 5, 2011 for the Xbox 360.
