A senior trade source has told CVG that the game will be another Treyarch developed title and will hit shelves sometime in November, much like previous releases; World at War and Modern Warfare 2.

The seventh game in the series, dubbed “Call of Duty: Vietnam” is going to be set in the late 1960s during the Vietnam war, if you did not guess that yourself. It also supposedly takes influence from classic movies Apocalypse Now and Platoon.

Activision truly believe that they can dominate the Christmas market again and have told Treyarch that the game must be ready for the shops before the holiday season. The game is apparently on course and looking good, so keep your eyes open for more news on this exciting title.
