In an official statement, Capcom's Japanese higher-ups have released a press-update stating that the game is going to be delayed. The reason for the delay is some what trivial, it appears elements were discovered in the trial version that they didn't want to be available for a free demo. The European and Australian release date of Dead Rising 2 has been pushed forward to September 24th.
