  • Halo: Combat Evolved (Anniversary Edition) Review 0 CommentsPosted by on February 8, 2012 under Xbox 360
It’s hard enough trying to convince the younger gamers of this generation that were excellent games that are still worth playing from bygone consoles that most of us grew up with and cut our teeth on. Thankfully, there are developers who decide that, once in a while, it’s worth dusting off these great titles, polishing them and sending them in to today’s market. Halo: Combat Evolved (Annive... more.

  • Saints Row The Third Review (PS3/360) 0 CommentsPosted by on February 5, 2012 under Feature, OnLive, PC, Platforms, PS3, Xbox 360
Saints Row is one of gaming’s little absurdities. It neither takes its subject matter too seriously, nor does it seem to take the industry with anything more than a pinch of salt. This is no bad thing of course, and it would be travesty to pass the Saints Row franchise off as anything other than a Grand Theft Auto clone. Since the first instalment, it’s always had a puerile and over-the-top se... more.

  • What Happened to Great Horror Games? 10 CommentsPosted by on January 29, 2012 under PS3, PSP, Wii, Wii U, XBLA, Xbox 360
There’s something missing from this generation and it’s bothering me. As technology gets better and the limits of consoles continue to be pushed, there’s a genre that continues to be overlooked, which is full of potential. I am of course talking about the horror genre. This generation has seen a distinct lack of horror titles on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The foundation for unique horror was l... more.
  • The Life and Death of the Light Gun 0 CommentsPosted by on under Editorials, Industry, PC, Platforms, PS2, PS3, Wii, XBLA, Xbox 360
The light gun is something I miss quite dearly. Its time has come and gone and in its place we now have the likes of Playstation Move, Wii Motes and Kinect. But all of these lack a certain something. It’s hard to put my finger on it, but the modern day equivalents to the light gun seem to be missing the charm and feel of a true light gun. Of course, light guns showed their true worth in the days... more.

The last few days have seen the arrival of the first official Resident Evil 6 trailer. Normally anything Resident Evil related (bar the horrific films) gets my attention and starts anticipation rolling, however this time around I felt a little more grounded. Iv watched the trailer around ten times now and I still cant conjure the same level of excitement or interest I once could. It could be down ... more.

  • Mojang SOPA Protest [Minecraft.net Shutdown] 0 CommentsPosted by on January 17, 2012 under PC, Platforms
Welcome..   Well it seems Mojang are getting involved in the SOPA protests after all :D   No sane person can be for SOPA. I don’t know if we’re sane, but we are strongly, uncompromisingly against SOPA, and any similar laws. Sacrificing freedom of speech for the benefit of corporate profit is abominable and disgusting. — Notch Tomorrow, January 18, we will clos... more.
