The light gun is something I miss quite dearly. Its time has come and gone and in its place we now have the likes of Playstation Move, Wii Motes and Kinect. But all of these lack a certain something. Itâs hard to put my finger on it, but the modern day equivalents to the light gun seem to be missing the charm and feel of a true light gun. Of course, light guns showed their true worth in the days... more. -

The last few days have seen the arrival of the first official Resident Evil 6 trailer. Normally anything Resident Evil related (bar the horrific films) gets my attention and starts anticipation rolling, however this time around I felt a little more grounded. Iv watched the trailer around ten times now and I still cant conjure the same level of excitement or interest I once could. It could be down ... more. -

OnLive: The Future Of Gaming Or An Accident Waiting To Happen?
0 CommentsPosted by TomK on October 14, 2011 under Editorials, OnLive
Lately, due to a saga involving a crippling isolation and connectivity issues, I've been relatively cut off from the world. Then, recently, some-one brought the idea of Cloud Gaming to my attention. Like most people with two ears screwed to the side of my head, I've heard of The Cloud; but to my knowledge it was nothing but an over-hyped data storage system. Streaming a pre-rendered game through y... more. -

That statement applied to most business' who have a Twitter account, whether it be British Telecom, Game.co.uk or Sky HD. It was a fantastic advancement in an outdated area, whereby the norm was sitting on the phone for approximately 30minutes, b... more. -

For the past few months speculation regarding the new generation of consoles has been at an all time high. With claims of new hardware to be announced within the next twelve months - that will lead this generation to a close - and into a whole new exciting era entirely. The Issue With The Term Girl Gamer
2 CommentsPosted by Sean on August 9, 2011 under Editorials
The term âGirl Gamerâ annoys me quite a lot. Itâs a term I have always pondered and seen as something rather odd and alien. The main reason for my issue with the term is the way in which its used and sadly its used mostly by females. When a âgirl gamerâ demands to be treated the same as any other gamer I often listen to their points, after all Iâll hear most peopleâs points of view, ... more. -
Five Games That Will Keep You on The Edge of Your Seat
1 CommentsPosted by AndyW on August 4, 2011 under Editorials
There's no better feeling in gaming than when you're so absorbed in a game you just have to physically get closer to the screen. It's an impulse for when business begins to pick up. Whether it's the final lap of a race, the last remaining team member, a dark corridor or even a competitive game; nothing around you matters, you're that absorbed. I've compiled a list of games, from my personal ... more. -

The Xbox Live Arcade service has gone from somewhat of a novel way to experience nostalgia to a vital cog in the Xbox 360âs gaming experience. In recent times itâs became quite apparent that the service has became something of desirable location to place new ideas, fresh concepts and bring popular indie titles to the masses. Call of Duty – What Have You Become?

I was a big Call of Duty fan; the first game in the franchise blew me away with its intense action and focus on set pieces. It had more soul and power to it compared to its then rival Medal of Honour - it also had a more enjoyable single player and multiplayer experience to offer. The expansion pack Untied Offensive is one of my most favored first person shooters, it built upon the foundations lai... more. -
