Black Ops II’s Nuketown 2025 Playlist No More

The Nuketown 2025 map, a fan-favourite made popular by its younger sibling “Nuketown” in Black Ops 1, has today had its “24/7″ playlist removed, 6 days after it became available. The Nuketown 2025 map was a pre-order incentive for Black Ops 2 and was only playable through a dedicated playlist or in custom games.

David Vonderhaar, Treyarch’s Game Designer Director and unofficial Community Manager, announced the news on Twitter.

What this news means is that players wanting to play the Nuketown 2025 map will only be able to play it in Custom Games, which don’t reward XP to the player. Players are understandably vexed by this decision, as it seems is David Vonderhaar.

A follow-up tweet from David Vonderhaar stated that the map may find its way into other playlists and that Treyarch are talking it over internally.

UPDATE: The Nuketown 2025 is back by popular demand under the “Bonus” playlist.
