A Breakdown Of Tomb Raider Editions & Pre-Order Bonuses
A selection of pre-order bonuses were announced for those who purchase Tomb Raider in the UK and Ireland earlier today by Square Enix.
Purchasers will have a choice between three versions of the highly anticipated title: the Standard Edition, a Survival Edition and a Deluxe Collector’s Edition, each containing varying items and content which are outlined below. Tomb Raider is set for a March 5th 2013 release.
Survival Edition:
This edition will include a copy of the game, a mini art book constructed by Brian Horton, the Art Director on Tomb Raider, a double sided map showing the island environment featured in the game and a protective survival pouch. On the digital side of the Survival Edition, a code will be included for access to Tomb Raider’s soundtrack as well as a DLC weapon pack for Lara Croft to get her trigger-happy hands on.
Deluxe Collector’s Edition
The Deluxe Collector’s Edition will include everything featured in the aforementioned Survival Edition as well as a 6” Lara Croft figurine that will be encased in a stylish and “unique Endurance crew member’s metal survival box”.
Pre-Order incentives
Pre-orders placed with certain retailers will offer specific content exclusive to said retailer in the first wave of pre-order incentives and will also include in-game content. Check out the official release below for details of the incentives at hand.
GAME
Exclusive in-game EXPLORER BUNDLE. Included in this bundle is an exploration themed CHALLENGE TOMB and an early access bonus survival advantage:
- CHALLENGE TOMB
o An exclusive tomb for Lara to raid! In this new location, Lara will encounter all new environment puzzles that will test her abilities
- FAST CLIMB UPGRADE
o Early access to the fast climb skill upgrade will let Lara ascend mountain faces more quickly. Handy when avoiding her attackers in a fight to take the higher ground!
TESCO
Exclusive in-game COMBAT STRIKE PACK. This early access combat-themed bundle will improve Lara’s chance of survival on the island from day one!
- PISTOL SILENCER UPGRADE
o The pistol silencer will let Lara use stealthy tactics to overcome even the trickiest of situations
- HEADSHOT RETICULE UPGRADE
o The headshot reticule will let Lara utilise her weapons more accurately, when used with the pistol silencer, they make for a deadly combination
- PISTOL BURST MODE UPGRADE
o The three-shot burst pistol upgrade will let Lara unleash a hail of firepower on her foes when under attack
- ANIMAL INSTINCT SKILL UPGRADE
o Animal instinct skill will light up XP-laden animals in Survival Instinct mode to help you upgrade to the next skill in no time
