Minecraft Update #19 11-11-2011
Well hello there,
I thought we were in for another dull week this week? clearly not..
The guys are preparing for Minecon and sorting lots of bugs out.. Also Jeb released another Pre-Release.. Pre 6
notch: OH NO! I just realized why a bug is there. I’m going to have to work on sunday. :/
notch: Haha, fixed the bug!!! Looks like we’ll do a prerelease today, and the release candidate on Sunday
notch: Please help us test the ender fight in multiplayer as much as possible.
notch: I think we should to a release candidate for Minecraft 1.0 soon. Like tomorrow, or possibly monday. Does @jeb_ agree?
notch: We just need to, you know, actually finish the game.
jeb_: As @notch said, the next prerelease is another prerelease and not a release candidate, but we’re getting closer…

jeb_: In pre-6 we’ve added the endgame and dragon, and the bugs marked with an [F] should be fixed here: Minecraft Wiki
jeb_: If it was unclear in my previous tweet, the wooden door problem is a new bug that will be addressed when we update again on Sunday
notch: Left to do: The new sounds, fixing bugs from this prerelease, some minor polishing. And we’ll do that on sunday
We are getting so close now.. I am keen to check out the Dragons and the Boss Fight.. I wonder how that will even work?

Sunday seems to be the ‘Big Day‘ for the ‘Client Release’ I guess that will be Minecraft Beta 10?

I’m sure you all know but just in case 
18-19th November in Las Vegas, The Mojang guys are gearing up for it.

Bugs Etc..
Well as we know the majority of stuff the crew have been working on lately has been bugs.
jeb_: Fixed another special case piston bug… Thankfully I have a test map for pistons to verify I didn’t break anything new =)
jeb_: It was this bug: (Crashes if you flip the lever twice)
jeb_: Thanks to @mollstam we found and fixed an annoying minecart bug
jeb_: A minor report (“sometimes items can’t be taken”) led me to discover a bug in the netcode… fixing that greatly decreased packet spam =)
jeb_: Got stuck scrolling on reddit… Snapped out of it and thought for a second “Now what was I doing?” followed by “Oh, right, bugs…”
Jeb has also been working on some of the Bed behavior;
jeb_: New bed behavior… Instead of being woken up by monsters, you are not allowed to sleep if monsters are nearby. Once you sleep you’re safe
jeb_: Monsters that are nearby, but on the other side of walls/doors/etc, will still stop you from sleeping… You know, their constant moaning
That will stop surprise skeleton rapists! I never have liked that much I can now ‘sleep safe at night’
He has also been working on some Red-Stone fixes, this all goes over my head to be honest but I thought I would share it in-case anyone else understands it..

jeb_: Haha... Changing redstone connectivity to fix a bug is scary. Going through all basic circuits to verify...
jeb_: Uhm… In the redstone picture, does the NAND gate actually work? I reverted back to pre-release 4, and still can’t get it to act as a NAND
jeb_: … and the AND gate acts as a NOR gate =) Maybe I need to revert even longer…
jeb_: Ah lol, it was my mistake, please ignore my previous tweets =)
jeb_: Haha, I accidentally searched for “data values” in the google search bar instead of the wiki search bar, and I still got the correct link =)
Over my head.. But it may be interesting for some.

Ironically the site did go down again temporarily after this tweet but it was back soon after
I am getting off point.. How cool would that block be.. Also the sets suggested on the site . I would buy it straight away.. I love Legos.
