One of the main gripes the hardcore gamer has had when it comes to Nintendo’s popular Wii was the lack of titles for the Hardcore gamer. Nintendo addressed this issue at E3 by announcing a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy and a new entry into the Metroid franchise.

The new Metriod title known as ‘Other M’ is a being worked on by Team Ninja, who are known for their Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden franchises, who look to create a new spin on the Metriod franchise.

No release date had been mentioned until today. Nintendo America has announced that Metriod: Other M will be released on the 27^th of June in North America.

Staff working on Other M has claimed their title is Metriod like you have never seen it before.

Looks like 2010 is the year to dust off your Wii and get ready for a influx high quality titles.
