Sonic the Hedgehog games are the best 2D Sonic games ever, second to none. Sonic combines Speed, platforming, puzzles and a constant changing beautiful scenery; that would make you weep if you weren’t destroying Goomba’s, oh wait, that’s Mario.

So it’s excellent news to learn that not only is Dimps, the team behind the Sonic Advance and Sonic Rush titles, is making the game – but previous members of Sonic Team are also helping out on the title also – most notably the senior level designer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. When asked just who is making this game Dimps or Sonic Team the answer given was “both”.

So far this game is turning out perfectly and ticks all the right boxes – Lets just hope that Sega manages to pull it off.
