US Air Force Purchase BIG Batch of PS3 Consoles
The US Airforce is purchasing 2,200 Sony PS3′s. They are not being deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan to boost troop morale, but to create a true high-end ‘super-computer’.
The PlayStations will be stationed in Rome, NY where they will be attached to the 336 consoles already there. The cluster of consoles will be working on better high-resolution radar images, video footage, and “neuromorphic computing”. A term that did not seem nearly as scary, untill I looked it up – a la skynet…
