Microsoft Launch Xbox Live Reward Program
The long wait is over. Microsoft officially announced today their new Xbox Live Rewards scheme is now in effect. The program will debut in a pilot phase – speaking of which, Microsoft have already sent emails to the lucky members who have been chosed to test the service, based on a survey users filled out last month.
The current six-month program will reward both Silver and Gold level subscribers with Microsoft Points and discounts off Marketplace content. Gold members will get more opportunities to get points, but that doesn’t mean Silver members are left in the dark. There is a 3-level tier system: Grey, Green and Orange:
- In the gray tier you will gain rewards by the completion of surveys and purchasing content via the Xbox Live Marketplace
- The Green tier can earn points by doing any of the above, as well as renewing your subscription on a continual basis.
- With the Oriange tier being at the top, there are even more opportunities to earn those points!
The guidelines and parameters used to assign a user into their allocated tier are still unknown at this time.
Here is a list of ways to earn those rewards:

It's a shame I've already done most of the things on the list. I'm guessing none of it's retroactive.
