Microsoft Ban 3% Of The Xbox Live Community
It seems Microsoft have brought down the ban-hammer quite hard this time around, with about 600,000 consoles recieving a lock from the online service. In perspective, there are about 20 million users – so that’s about 3% of the Xbox Live community culled.
How did they get banned? They modified their 360′s to play pirated games. Though console will still play games offline, they will just no longer be able to connect to Xbox Live.
According to the Official Xbox forum, these are the things which could land you a ban:
- Piracy/Theft
- Cheating
- Fraud
- Phishing
- Nudity
- Sexually Explicit Material
- Account Selling/ Tampering
