Following a video leak, Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist Robert Bowling confirms the third-person perspective will be in Modern Warfare 2 on release. Although, it’s only accessible during private multiplayer matches.
The leaked video was originally released on YouTube, but it has now been taken down due to “copyright restrictions.” The nearly 8 minute video shown a bout between players, which seemed like an ordinary video, but then went on to toggle viewpoint between first-person and third-person.
The authenticity of the video was then proven when Robert Bowling quickly updated his Twitter confirming that it is infact genuine.
“Yes there’s a leaked video. Yes it confirms a new Playlist type in & yes it’s why I recommend a media blackout.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is due out on November 10 worldwide on the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360
